Putting Action Into Your Ideas

1/28/2016

1. Be dissatisfied. You can't remain complacent about your situation. The only way to have different results is to do things that are different. Don't be afraid to change the status quo.

2. Map out your plans. Some people do manage to get their goals without planning how they will achieve them, but most people require plans and calendars to help them get closer and closer to their dream. Figure out what you want, they figure out how you will get it.

3. Take a whack at it. Don't be afraid of failure. To get anything done, you have to actually take that first step, make that first move. If you mess up, then take that as knowledge of how not to do it again. Hey, if you take a chance and make it, that will save even more time!

4. Get rid of excuses. There are too many excuses that people can make just so that they don't get things done. Push aside or remove those excuses and go right on through to your goal. It's much easier and faster than it would be without excuses, anyways.

5. Have something at stake. One of the biggest obstacles that people face en route to their goals is the loss of motivation. And the best solution to avoid that situation is to have a specific reason to get that goal. Have a serious enough penalty or cost of not reaching that goal. Doing so would motivate you to continue onward, closer to your goal.

6. Get support. Most people are more than willing to help others. Get others inside and outside of your company to work along side you while you get closer and closer to that goal.

7. Sell, sell, sell. Now it's time to get that plan moving. Sell your ideas by promoting them. Sell your company by advertising it. Sell your product, well, in any ethical way possible!

8. Be courageous. Like I said in point 3, "Take a whack at it," you can't be afraid of failure. So, grit your teeth, put your head down, and plow right into it, and onward toward your goals and dreams!

9. Give yourself a deadline. Some people use deadlines as motivation to get things done, and they usually wait until nearly the last minute to begin things. However, if you work toward your goal step by step, and give a deadline to each step, you will GREATLY simplify things for you later on. And definitely make a final deadline for the end as well.

10. Fight for it. Sometimes your route to your goals and dreams will come into competition with other people. Don't ever be afraid in business to engage in some business fights, such as the price wars the airlines often get into.

11. Be persistent. Often times people give up when success is just around the next corner. Don't give up on your goals and dreams too easily. Keep working at it, and in most cases you will get exactly what you desire!
